Civitai is a gold mine , almost too many models to work out what works with what.  Realistic stuff I'm still looking for a good checkpoint , I can get some nice images but the scope is much more limited compared to semi realistic or cartoon styles.

Just started using a checkpoint  tease&please which has a good default setting and while booru tags are built in it still handles the usual prompt flow to expect from Illustrious models.  Zit based models are looking good though beyond what my poor old toaster can manage. 

I'll post the png's so people can drag and drop to read the prompts etc.

A trick for this is using a cartoon-ish checkpoint that is working well with kinky prompts of all sorts for the basic pose and composition (Pony Diffusion is my go-to for this, don't let the preview images fool you, it's not just about "My little Pony") and then simply do an img-2-img with a more realistic checkpoint model.

There are a couple of realistic ones based on Pony, like Realism by Stable Yogi which works really well in tandem when using img-2-img from a Pony base.

Thank you for the tip, I have not used img-to-img much as I have had trouble with it reproducing images and while it will upload a file often it just makes a blank image including originals created by the program. Oddly it does not do this for all images.

Might have to do a reinstallation and then give your suggestion a go as it does seem a good workaround.

I've been working on a project regarding an original character, a 1920s Gotham City flapper/catburglar (a sort of proto trans-Catwoman) and thought I'd like to come up with a few illos. I've been using a freebie program for the original images, slimming down their figures and adding accessories and make-up etc in GIMP, then cutting and pasting them as I thought fit.
My character's named Bobcat, part because they have a bob haircut, partly because they're cat themed and partly because of the wonderful Bob Fosse.
These are the images I'm happiest with so far, pls don't crucify me!



There are other references in there too if you can spot them 😉

The very noir films Louise Brooks (aka Lulu) did for G. W. Pabst in the late 20's in Berlin have been well restored in HD & can probably be used to glean some clips from to process further.
Fosse modeled Sally's (Liza Minnelli) look on Louise in Cabaret.
Guido Crepax made some noir erotic comics where the main character Valentina was based on Louise (with her approval). 
Like Josephine Baker, Louise was a dancer & had very expressive facial & body language which you don't always see in the photo stills.
