Your browser might cache the old scripts. I use Chrome and I don't see any problems, just a nice shot of Ra's sweet ass. If you have a webcam you can usually plug right into sites like Stickam or uStream without any additional software. Then, you can usually embed those stream channels into your site. If for some reason you require to stream your desktop or something on your desktop, like I typically stream hockey to followers of my uStream channel, then you'd need that additional layer of software to basically record your desktop, or a portion of it, and then re-push that out to where uStream or Livestream are looking for it. I use ManyCam but to make the broadcast even clearer I use Adobe Flash Media Encoder which takes the output from Manycam and makes sure it gets sent to uStream in near-HD format. This increases resource consumption on my machine but the audience gets a clearer picture. If we're just talking about sessions, like Anne's, then just a webcam should be sufficient and the channel usually has embed code, so long as this forum allows it. I don't know if anyone really has any cams to contribute at the moment - I do not feel comfortable enough with my body - but at some point in the future you may have a "Channel Page" and it could show who's active or has scheduled upcoming shows. I know that's all probably miles down the road but I have faith in Ra 😊 (18 Oct 2013, 22:59 )Like Ra Wrote: The server is running Ubuntu 13.10 now. But so much has been changed/obsoleted/replaced... Love Ubuntu and yes so much has changed. I don't know C/C++ to any degree of programming but I have gotten very heavy into bash scripting. If I could invest my time all over again I would have learned OOP head to toe and developed apps for Ubuntu or other distros. I currently use Win 7 for games and certain media formats which I have been unable to run on *nix distros but I know in my heart of hearts Ubuntu is king 😊 RE: Site performance, Server errors, outages and tunings - Like Ra - 20 Oct 2013 Nice... Restarting Apache or stopping and starting it explicitly result in different ModPageSpeed behaviour... Now I'm lost at when and why scripts began to work asynchronously/simultaneously. Back to "slow" ... RE: Site performance, Server errors, outages and tunings - catransvestic - 21 Oct 2013 Not sure what's happening, but I can't hit the home page any longer.. had to go in through another page. (tried it with 2 browsers). i.e. www.likera.com is not working. www.likera.com/home.php still works. ca RE: Site performance, Server errors, outages and tunings - Like Ra - 21 Oct 2013 (21 Oct 2013, 17:31 )catransvestic Wrote: Not sure what's happening, but I can't hit the home page any longer.I wonder why Apache wrongly caches this page... When I remove it from cache, restart Apache - it shows fine. Let me try to tweak it... RE: Site performance, Server errors, outages and tunings - Like Ra - 21 Oct 2013 Fantastic... Try: http://www.likera.com/index.html or http://www.likera.com/?ModSpeed=Off Both work fine. But http://www.likera.com/ works only after I restart Apache. RE: Site performance, Server errors, outages and tunings - Like Ra - 21 Oct 2013 I have no idea why it does not work, but as a workaround I simply disabled PageSpeed for http://www.likera.com/ While I do not like the internal logic of the latest version of mod_pagespeed, together with PHP 5.5 and Apache 2.4 it parses/caches/loads files ~50% faster. Anyway, back to programming... |
