Hehe looks like someone tweaked his browser id a bit 😁

I remember that firefox can do that too 😊

Actually, that is the user agent Google Chrome sends, as ridiculous as it is. They seem to throw in ever browser that used the WebKit engine before it was used in chrome.

Oh, nice. Didn't know that. Thanks!

Actually, it's unbelievable how much stuff I learned during the last several weeks.

Just when I thought that I'm done with the tuning... the WP database crashed... Trying to recover from the backups. Another funny thing is - the last 5 backups are also corrupted. All posts are there, all comments are there, all images are there, but the links between them are broken.

Interesting... I've reached the state when I do not care anymore. I spent so much time last months doing just the admin work, so I will probably be happy if I get 8 hours of my life back. It's Sunday, 4:30AM, and I'm still working on the site. Do I need it? (Yes, I ask this rhetorical question more often last time, probably getting wiser 😁 )

This is what happened. wp_options got corrupted. WP scripts decided that they should upgrade the database double-backslashed every quote in wp_posts.

QoS works!!! 😉

[Sun Nov 13 15:12:35 2011] [error] mod_qos(060): access denied, QS_ClientEventBlockCount rule: max=600, current=600, c=x.x.x.x

All posts have been restored.

I still see two periodic overloads at 12:01 and at 21:01GMT (probably there is another one at around 03:00). All tunings/tweaks I have made reduced these downtimes from 40-50 min to 6-8.

Need to test with more simultaneous clients during the day.
