How to tie (weave? plait?) a karada

There are many ways to tie a karada (see here). On this video (made by yosinomi) you can see another method not covered in the Technique section. The idea is, of course, the same. I can’t agree with how the bottom part is fixed (I would prefer my way), though.

Please note that Yosinomi does not make any knots until the very last step. I would call it a pure Japanese way – no knots.

BTW, what is the best word to use for tying a karada? Tie? Bind? Weave? Plait? Make?

  1. Indeed. I should have grabbed the .flv file from the browser cache… But the video was so innocent, so I could not imagine it will be removed.
