Okay, I've finally finished the new version of the script for my comic book. I tried to make it shorter than the original 202-page version and managed to get it down to 166 pages. Not bad. During the editing, I realized that being too succinct can be just as bad as being too long-winded, so I'm happy to have reached a satisfactory middle ground. Now, I'm moving on to the second stage, which is translating the dialogues into English (I write in my first language, Brazilian Portuguese), and then working on stage 3: making a new sketch of all the pages. For those of you who are curious to know what this story I'm working on is all about, I've prepared a summary that you can read below.
Oh, and I'm sorry if the text isn't very good, I wrote all of this in a few hours.

BOUND AND DANGEROUS

Zara and Val have been friends since they were kids, practically like sisters. They have a lot in common, even sharing the same birthday, with only one disagreement: Zara believes a hero's duty is to punish villains, while Val argues that a true hero should protect the innocent. This difference in opinions stems from the fact that Zara is always bothered by bully kids, which fuels her desire for revenge, while Val, on the other hand, has a good heart and forgives more easily.

On their 18th birthday, Zara and Val are kidnapped and taken to a secret laboratory where a criminal scientist uses them as guinea pigs for an experimental serum aimed at creating perfect, beautiful, and healthy bodies. Val is inoculated first, but the serum's effects are too powerful, and she dies. Undeterred, the scientist proceeds to test another version of the same serum on Zara, who has a different physiological reaction. Suddenly, she develops superhuman strength, enabling her to break free from the gurney, leap through the window, and escape.

Zara wakes up three days later in an abandoned warehouse. Quickly, she discovers that she has gained spider-like powers: super strength, agility, and speed, heightened senses, the ability to walk on walls, and the capacity to weave incredibly strong and elastic webs from her fingertips. After enjoying her newfound abilities for a while, Zara feels a tremendous appetite and decides to break into a store to feed herself, consuming a large quantity of food. After satisfying her hunger, she climbs buildings, feeling naturally drawn to heights as if by instinct. It's then that she remembers how she acquired these powers and that her best friend Val died, which saddens her deeply.

With no memory of what happened between her escape from the lab and her awakening in the abandoned warehouse, Zara tries to retrace her steps in the hope of at least finding her friend's body for a proper funeral. However, this attempt is unsuccessful. While contemplating her next move, she hears gunshots and sees three criminals fleeing after robbing a store. Zara leaps into action to stop the bandits, easily overpowering two of them with her super strength, but the third manages to graze her arm with a gunshot. Enraged, Zara bites the criminal and then faints for a few seconds. When she regains consciousness, she notices her wound healing rapidly, and the bitten criminal remains motionless, despite not being dead. As sirens approach, Zara flees the scene but follows the ambulance and eavesdrops on a conversation between a doctor and a police officer. The doctor informs the officer that the bitten criminal has been poisoned, and the toxin in his body causes complete motor paralysis. Zara discovers that, like spiders, she is venomous.

Zara decides to use her powers to become a super-heroine, creating a costume with a mask, adopting a pair of knives and a belt with small poisoned blades as weapons, and starts taking down criminals in the city, showing no mercy. She takes more pleasure in beating up criminals than she should. After a few weeks of activity, Zara discovers that someone has invaded her home. She surprises the intruder, who turns out to be a policewoman named Jane. Jane says she identified Zara after making a mold of the bite marks on the criminal she bit and comparing them to dental records in the city's clinics. Jane wants to help Zara fight criminals, but the real criminals, powerful men with a lot of money who consider themselves above the law.

Zara accepts the offer but asks Jane to use her police resources to try to identify the criminal scientist who used her as a guinea pig. Thus, Zara undergoes training in various combat tactics and strategies with Jane. When the training is complete, Jane informs Zara that she will provide her with targets, but Zara insists she won't kill anyone, no matter how bad they are. To ensure that the assigned targets deserve punishment, Zara will follow their every move for a few days, long enough to catch them in the act of committing crimes.

During one of her missions, Zara crosses paths with Assok, a cruel and ruthless hired assassin. Thanks to her superpowers, Zara easily defeats Assok, and the same happens in their subsequent encounters. Defeated and humiliated each time, Assok begins to envy Zara's powers and vows to make her pay dearly for all the defeats and humiliations.

Some time later, Zara looks for a good restaurant because her accelerated metabolism makes her very hungry. When she arrives at a cozy tavern, she is greeted by a waitress named Kim, who reminds Zara of her late friend Val. The two chat amiably, and with time and Zara's frequent visits to the tavern, they form a small bond of friendship.

A year and a half later, Jane tells Zara that she received a mysterious package. Inside the package is a cell phone and a note saying there will be a call later that night. Everything indicates that it's some kind of trap set by an enemy who has discovered their connection to Zara's vigilantism, but Zara has become overly confident due to her powers and decides to investigate, regardless of the risk. However, she advises Jane to stay hidden until everything is clarified, just as a precaution.

At the appointed time, the phone rings, and a male voice identifies himself as Donn, the scientist who used Zara and Val as guinea pigs years ago. He invites Zara to become his personal security, but Zara only wants revenge for her best friend's death and refuses. Faced with this refusal, Donn informs her that he has hidden time bombs in a major train station, and Zara has only a few minutes to prevent the tragedy that the explosions could cause to countless innocents. Zara uses her speed to reach the location in time and finds the bombs, but as she picks them up and tosses them into the air to minimize the damage, they explode, and the shockwave leaves her stunned. Seizing this critical moment, a sniper hidden on a nearby rooftop fires a dart with a powerful sedative into Zara, causing her to lose consciousness.

When Zara wakes up, she is in for a big surprise: her legs are bound, and her arms are tied behind her back with ropes made from her own webbing. This means she has no way to escape because her webs are stronger than Zara herself. Moreover, most of her costume has been torn, and she has red adhesive tape wrapped around her body, and covering her mouth. Zara then hears Donn's voice boasting of having captured her, which infuriates her and makes her throw herself at him, but she collides with a glass plate reinforced with plexiglass. Zara realizes that she is not only bound and gagged but also trapped in a bulletproof glass cell. In a superior tone, Donn explains that he spent a long time analyzing Zara's powers and personality, discovering what she loves most: her superpowers. Therefore, he decided to create the perfect trap from which she cannot escape without paying a high price. Donn created a serum capable of erasing Zara's powers and injected it into her while she was unconscious, simultaneously wrapping her body with the red adhesive tape. These tapes contain a synthetic enzyme that Zara slowly absorbs through her skin, and this enzyme is the only thing preventing the serum from taking effect and erasing her powers. Zara then understands, horrified, that she is trapped with no way out. If she tries to free herself and remove the tape from her skin, she will lose the powers she loves so much. On the other hand, if she decides to keep her powers, she will have to accept being bound and gagged indefinitely.

As Donn leaves the scene, one of his maids takes the opportunity to talk to Zara. The maid admits to helping Donn tie her up but reveals that when she was binding her hands, she used regular adhesive tape instead of the special ones, which might give Zara a chance to escape if she can free her fingers. The maid claims to be an undercover agent of a woman named Sphinx.

Hours later, Donn hosts a secret auction for billionaire criminals, intending to sell Zara to the highest bidder. He also offers vials of a new serum capable of granting the user most of Zara's powers for 24 hours. To demonstrate the serum's effectiveness, he presents Assok, who showcases her new abilities. Indignant at what is happening, Zara decides to take action. She tears the tapes binding her hands and then leaps and spins through the air, releasing a rain of sticky webs that immobilize everyone present. Although she can't move freely, Zara can still jump, and she escapes the building by jumping through a window. Thanks to her web threads, she performs a spectacular swing maneuver and lands gently in a sand truck, which carries her away from her captivity.

After jumping into an alley and managing to steal a cell phone, Zara sends a text message to Jane to come to her rescue. Jane arrives, but she reveals herself as a traitor who has secretly been working for Donn all along and tries to recapture Zara with the help of some armed men carrying sedative guns. Despite being bound, Zara still manages to easily defeat the group thanks to her powers. However, Assok finds her, and now that the villain has her powers, Zara can no longer face her without being able to move her arms and legs freely. Therefore, Zara triggers an explosion to stun Assok and buy some time to hide.

After Assok leaves, Zara starts jumping randomly across rooftops, trying to find a better hiding place. That's when she sees waitress Kim leaving her house for work and decides to seek her help. Zara jumps right in front of Kim, startling the girl, but she quickly recovers from the shock and, unexpectedly, grabs Zara and rushes her back home to hide her. Zara doesn't understand what's happening because she notices that Kim is visibly excited by seeing her all bound and gagged.

Kim realizes that Zara is hungry and has the idea to feed her soups and juices using a straw inserted through a small hole in the adhesive tape gag. Zara quickly becomes satiated, and then Kim tells her to use her smartphone to write down what's happening since she can't speak. Zara writes a brief summary, Kim reads everything, and becomes fascinated, promising to do everything she can to help. Zara then asks why Kim didn't try to untie her and why she's so excited. Timidly, Kim confesses that she has an erotic fantasy of being tied up and gagged, just like Zara is at the moment.

Considering that Zara is being hunted by her enemies, Kim suggests that the two of them hide outside the city, in a rented house in the countryside. She dresses Zara in a blouse and a long skirt to disguise her bound body and covers her gag with a surgical mask. This way, the two can take a car trip to the countryside without attracting too much attention.

In the rented house, Kim takes great care to ensure that Zara is well-fed and hydrated, and she also comes up with games and activities to keep her entertained. Zara is touched by Kim's care, especially when she says, "that’s what friends are for". Zara had never allowed herself to have another friend after losing Val, but now she has to acknowledge that she has found a new friend in Kim. Days later, despite all that Kim does to entertain her, Zara can't stand being bound and gagged any longer and decides to confront her problem. She asks Kim to take her back to the city, where she seeks out a mysterious woman known as Sphinx, rumored to know everything about everyone.

However, just like the mythological creature, Sphinx only grants her favors to those who correctly solve one of her riddles. She challenges Zara with this riddle: "I am eternal, more powerful than gods, more wicked than demons; whoever possesses me is miserable, whoever abandons me finds prosperity; in darkness, you see me, and with empty hands, you show me. Who am I?" Zara responds, "You are nothing!" and proves herself worthy of receiving the answers she seeks. Sphinx then tells her everything she knows about Donn, prompting Zara to start devising a plan.

Meanwhile, Donn is approached by a mysterious woman who tells him she can deliver Zara in exchange for a generous reward. Although he is suspicious of the woman, the villain agrees to the deal, and she promises to return soon with Zara.

On their way back to the rented house, Zara instructs Kim to retrieve money she has hidden in a rented locker at a train station to cover their expenses. Time passes, and Zara answers a call from Jane, who informs her that she has captured Kim and will kill her unless Zara surrenders peacefully within an hour. Desperate to save her new friend, Zara decides to free herself even if it means losing her superpowers. She begins searching for something sharp enough to cut her web restraints. She finds a scalpel in an abandoned clinic and, with great effort, manages to free her legs, but she no longer has time to free her arms as her deadline approaches. At the designated location, Zara finds Kim tied to a chair and gagged, but Jane is nowhere to be seen. As she approaches her friend, Zara is shot by a sniper aboard a helicopter flying overhead. The sniper is Jane, who knew she had to stay at a reasonable distance to avoid detection by Zara's heightened senses. However, as she prepares to fire again, Jane is surprised by Zara, who only pretended to be hit. Using her incredible strength and agility, Zara leaps several meters into the air and passes through the helicopter, leaving a web trail behind her. The web threads bring down the helicopter, and before Jane can recover from the fall, she is hit by a sharp spike and falls paralyzed. Zara had poisoned the spike by inserting it into her mouth through the hole in her gag, thus punishing her traitorous ally.

However, before Zara and Kim can escape, Assok reappears and attacks once again. Strangely, her sword strikes are aimed at the restraints still binding Zara's arms behind her back. Assok then takes Kim hostage and threatens to kill her if Zara doesn't get rid of her restraints. Assok knows what will happen if Zara removes all the adhesive tape from her body; she will lose her powers. She forces Zara to do it and reveals that she used her sword to weaken the restraints so Zara can finally break them with her strength. To save her friend Kim, Zara accepts and starts struggling. After a great and painful effort, she finally manages to tear her restraints and becomes completely free, but she immediately begins to feel weak and debilitated as her powers disappear. Assok then approaches to beat and humiliate her rival even more, but ironically, she also starts losing her powers because the 24-hour effect of Donn's serum wears off. Before Assok can take another dose of the serum, Zara smashes the vial in her hand and attacks her enemy, even without powers. Unfortunately, her bravery isn't enough, and Assok proves to be a superior opponent due to her combat skills. When Assok is about to kill Zara, Kim jumps in and knocks her down, showing that she is also willing to sacrifice herself. However, this alone isn't enough, and Assok prepares to kill both of them. At that moment, a mysterious woman appears and shoots Assok with a sedative dart, making the villain fall unconscious.

Much to Zara's surprise, the mysterious woman is her friend Val. She says she survived Donn's serum and will explain everything to her, but first they have to eliminate Donn's threat once and for all. She suggests that Zara wear Assok's clothes and mask while they bind, gag and disguise Assok to looks like Zara so they can both enter Donn's base without any problems.
Val then gives the fake Zara to Donn and reveals her identity, but pretends that she has become an evil and ruthless woman because of the serum he injected her with years ago. Zara, disguised as Assok, takes several vials of the serum and injects them into herself, hoping to reactivate her powers. Donn doesn't suspect anything until Assok, shaking violently, manages to free herself from the wig and reveals the fake. But it's too late, and Zara knocks Donn out with a single blow of her super strength. She then tells the villain that she no longer has any reason to kill him, since she has discovered that Val is alive and no longer needs to be avenged. Zara also says that despite everything the villain has made her suffer over the past few days, she is grateful because she has learned to be more humble and to recognize that she needed help, in addition to learning the true value of a hero when she decided to give up her powers to save the life of his new friend, Kim. However, Zara uses her poison to paralyze Donn as punishment for his life of crime.

A short time later, Zara and Val are alone to talk. Val says that Donn's serum didn't kill her, it just put her in a coma that lasted for some time. When she woke up, Val discovered that her body had become stronger and healthier due to the serum, and as soon as she was released from the hospital where she was, she decided to look for Zara. But seeing that Zara had become a ruthless superhero, more concerned with punishing villains than protecting the innocent, Val was disappointed and decided not to reveal that she was alive, waiting for the opportunity to do so when Zara proved herself worthy... which she did when Zara decided to sacrifice herself for Kim, learning the true value of heroism. Zara realizes her mistakes and asks for Val's forgiveness, and only then do the two friends finally reconcile and resume their journey together... and now with Kim as another friend.
