Rex wasn't much for tug of war, but once in a while he'd get the idea of it.

Gent, on the other hand, would rather have his teeth ripped out then let me win the battle.
I could swing him around and he still wouldn't let go!

R.I.P. Gent - 7/12/2013

He was nicknamed the flying Gentini. He loved to take flying leaps onto, off of, and over any obstacles.
He was a rescue, his bottom teeth were all crooked, (obviously he was malnourished while a pup) but he was a really sweet dog. He loved people and any other dog he came across.
He loved to go trucking with me. He would leap in and out of the truck like it was nothing. Once I'd get parked to get loaded or unloaded, he'd run off, sniff all around, lift his leg and leave a few drops of pee on everything he could find, and come running right back and take a flying leap into the truck the moment I called him.
Gent only had one true enemy. He wanted to kill the bunny that used to hang outside my front window every evening and torment him with it's 'cuteness'. He would growl and bark at that rabbit for as long as the bunny would hang around.
On Thursday his battle with Lyme's Disease took a turn for the worse. He began to have seizures along with all the other crap that was affecting him. By Friday morning at sun-up, he had five of them. They were long, each lasting 2 minutes or more.
F-ing horrible to have to sit by and watch. The life just drained out of him with each new seizure.
The vet put him to sleep Friday morning.
I don't normally get all teary eyed when a dog has to be put down. ALL of mine have lived good long lives. But Gent was only 4 years old, full of life, right up until the last day. He even pulled me across the yard on Wednesday afternoon when he saw that annoying ass bunny.
So when I loaded his body back in my car and sat down, a teardrop welled up in my eye.
(Dang dog broke my heart.)
When I buried Gent, he was with his favorite squeaky ball and blanket. I let the new dog Seamus see Gent laid out, and then buried him with the ball. Seamus tried to dig up Gent the first chance he got, (I assume to get to the ball) then all night he was crying and looking all around for his buddy.
We all miss him.
Gentini, I hope the fields are filled with annoying bunnies and other dogs to chase and wrestle with, where ever your spirit went to. And lots of squeaky balls!

I really miss my little buddy.

My next door neighbor's dog, Rex, has a habit of breaking his cable/chain and getting loose. Every single time he runs away, he runs straight to my house like a rocket and hangs out at my back gate. I'd let him in, and let out Gent to play with him, then I'd call the neighbor just to let him know where his dog was off to.
This particular photo, while looking simple enough, took over an hour of these two wrestling and then running around chasing each other like maniacs before I could get them to sit still for 2 seconds to take the 'shot'.
Rex is the black and white dog, Gent is the mutt on the right.

I know what you are all thinking... "Why mourn over Mordin and not Thane?" well, its because I was more emotionally upset over the death of Mordin than I was over Thanes. And I like to think Shepard here had already came to terms with Thanes death. I mean, Thane did tell her (and your Shepard!) that he wouldn't live much longer because of his condition. So practically from day one of meeting everyone's favorite assassin you knew he was going to die it was just a matter of 'when'. Plus, for those who found themselves smashing that renegade button to stab Kai Leng in the ribs with revengeful glee, raise your hand!! Yeah... I regret nothing...

But yes, with Mordin I really wanted him to go to the beach and run tests on those god damn sea shells! but alas, it had to be him. Someone else might have gotten it wrong. And I will admit. I was a sniveling, waterfall-of-tears mess at his death scene. And when the citadel DLC came out and you find his Datapad, again, the tears... GawdDamn tears EVERYWHERE... I will forever miss that very model of scientist Salarian...

It was time for a new picture and I actually had time to do it. I decided to go for a very intense piece, using perspecitiviy to make
her wide eyed face the center of the scene. The gag borderlines breath play, which is kind of dangerous. So please don't try to reenact
it. It's a fantasy and should be understood as such.

There is a variant of this in my Yahoo group, which contains an optional, very naughty detail.

A little photo shop enhanced.. kind of a hurry up job. (I'm still horrible at it.)
And...My computer keeps freezing up every other time I change something, so don't mind the mess.

Well, 'sort of' hot off the 'drawing board'. I've been working on this for weeks, here and there.
I spent over 3 hours on it today.
(Still ain't happy with it, but I really need to be doing other things!)

Anyway, something is better then nothing...
